AVI has implemented the Descartes Aljex™ transportation management system as part of the company’s continued investment in operational efficiency, shipment visibility, and scalable logistics solutions.

Air Van, Inc.’s 3PL acquisition integration of Imeson Distribution Center, Inc. is now a model for regional operators. Air Van is a Jacksonville-based distribution and fulfillment 3PL and a member of the AWI Network. Its services go beyond warehousing: asset-based trucking, in-house brokerage, final mile delivery, and a US Customs bond. The deal tripled Air Van’s payroll overnight. It also added a client base built on steel, lumber, and paper products, plus rail-siding it had never offered before.

AVI has promoted Adam Baltzell to Head of Brokerage Services, recognizing his contributions to the expansion and development of the company’s transportation brokerage operations.
In his new role, Baltzell will direct brokerage strategy, carrier partnerships, and customer transportation solutions while overseeing a division that has become an increasingly important component of AVI’s service offerings.

As AVI continues expanding its operational capabilities and value-added logistics services, the company has appointed Tasha Mitchell as Packaging Manager to oversee the development and growth of its Packaging & Kitting Division.

Mitchell joins AVI with more than two decades of experience in high-volume distribution, warehousing, and customer service operations.
